How We Started
WildeWinds Bath & Body Co. was born out of curiosity after a trip through Hot Springs Arkansas. The main street of this small town is lined with shop after shop filled with beautiful hand crafted soaps. The idea of making soap from scratch was very intriguing. Each bar had it’s own unique texture, smell, and color. Being a long time crafter, the idea of soap making just didn’t go away, and so the process was set in motion. Through a lot of reading and research we discovered the marvels of each ingredient used in soap making. Some create smooth, creamy lather, while others make fluffy bubbles, and still others just cleanse without much fuss at all. Some ingredients moisture your skin, others dry oily skin, and still others exfoliate. The combinations and possibilities are nearly endless. After nearly a year of learning and testing (on ourselves and our family members) we gave our first batches of soap away as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts to family and friends. The positive feedback we received prompted us to brand WildeWinds Bath and Body Co. as the first line of our expanding WildeWinds brand. Over time we have grown to include more hand crafted items we enjoy creating and are always anxious to expand our creativity and share it with others.

We are a mother-daughter team who enjoy spending time together and have always shared a desire to be creative.
Shelley Wildeman
I have been married for over 40 years and am the mother of three daughters (the oldest being Emily) and Grandma of 10. I love spending time with my family and I’ve always enjoyed crafting as a way to relax. I take great pleasure in sharing my crafts with others. For many years now if you recieve a gift from me you can pretty much count on it being handmade. After visiting Hot Springs Arkansas on a recent vacation, I was intrigued with the idea of learning to make hand crafted soap. As is my natural next step I gave this new craft a try, and so soap making has been added to my already lengthy list of hand crafts I enjoy. WildeWinds gives me the opportunity to create things I enjoy, with someone I love, and share my creations with others!
Emily Parsons
I am a wife and the mother of three wonderful boys, an insurance agent of 20+ years and someone who loves to bring people and things together! I am always ready to plan a party, organize an event and connect family,
friends and colleagues so it was a natural fit for me to be the business side of WildeWinds while lending my thoughts and idea’s to my much more creative and crafty mother. I enjoy helping bring beautiful idea’s to light, so making soap and building the WildeWinds brand has given me the opportunity to be creative in my way and help make my moms wonderful talents a fun and growing business.
